Does milk really help calcium intake?

I have read a lot of information that says that milk doesn’t help with osteoporosis and that it really doesn’t give you the calcium you think it does (These are studies from Yale and Harvard). I hear it’s really not that good for you after all like the milk industry wants us to think. We are the only species on the planet that drinks breastmilk. I hear that the high protein count in milk actually leaches the calcium from your body. I have also heard that broccoli and nuts are actually smarter sources for your calcium intake. Is this all true like I think it is? I am really thinking of becoming a vegan, for ethics, health, and the environment. I think I can be part of the movement.
Bucky I still don’t know what promotion you’re talking about…you didn’t happen to reference what you were referring to…

I’ve heard this too. Calcium needs other vitamins to be absorbed by your body. That is why they add them to milk. So I’d say broccoli is a good source –but I’d talk to a nutritionist to be sure. Best of luck to ya!

P.S. I think it’s healthier to not drink milk. I eat pizza though. . .
