Vanessa asked:

I’ve heard vegan people say their favorite ethnic food is Chinese. But what can you possibly eat that’s vegan… cats?

Cats would be meat.

Tofu is quite acceptable. There are a lot of veggie dishes in chinese cooking too.

you can have vegetable options in a Chinese… plus, if they only get emotional or what ever if say a cow was killed but not a cat then they are more likely to eat cat… obviously they aren’t true vegiterians. X

The racism apparent in mere discussion about food is rather sad.

Vegan’s don’t eat cats. They don’t eat meat or any other animal products. This includes milk, cheese, honey, ect. There are many chinese dishes that would fit this criteria. Vegetable lo mien is a good one.

If you went to China, it would probably be difficult, as they do eat cats and lots of other non-vegan things!

You can make vegetable stir-fries, you can use tofu, egg-free noodles, lots of things.

that’s a pretty ignorant and disrespectful thing to say

vegan people probably like chinese cuisine because their diet is balanced, and consists of mostly vegetables, and little to no meat.

If you go to a restaurant thai and indian have more vegan options to be honest, but you can usually ask them to make you a veggie stir fry with some noodles and a sauce you like, like satay, black bean, soy.
